It involves drilling 4 holes, inserting metal dowels or router bits into the holes (the dowels or bits should be the same size as the holes), measureing the diagonals, and adjusting the gantry. A manual router table with a 3 phase variable controlled Chinese spindle with a stepper drive for raising and lowering the spindle? I like it. As long as it can be raised high enough to change bits above the table.

Purchasing the right linear rails for a home made cnc router table I used some 15mm THK and more than adequate load handling ability on my extrusion router. However my next gantry router is using 20mm and 25mm rails because the 5&6 mm tapped holes are easier to do than the 4mm ones used on the 15mm rails. I intend to design and build a vertical (or near vertical) 4' x 8' CNC router that is sufficiently beefy to mill aluminium or take deep and wide cuts in wood. I currently have a 2' x 4' flat bed router but my workshop is too small to go 4' x 8' flat bed, hence the vertical design.
hi im new on here and thinking of getting a cnc for my home "hobby" projects. i work for a cabinet factory and we have 2 komo cnc's 5x10. we have a compressor foreach i think there 50 horse but any way we used mdf spoilboard for 4 years then we tried LDF wich is less dense of coarse and it gave us at least 10-15 pounds more psi to hold parts .
